April 2022:

At the encouragement of the many advocates and supporters, I've taken up the task to create a webpage for the pyramid.

The past few weeks have been a good viewing period (as predicted by my calculations last year), with the leaves not yet fully out, and the sun getting higher in the sky.  I found that I could track the pyramid along most of the trail in from the road for the roughly 1/4 mile bend, which at times (the pyramid) was about 350-400 feet away through the trees.  The site being on a slight rise helps to make it visible.

Now 2 years in, further maintenance is needed.  The piece-meal capstone (with a very small brass capstone on that) was just not adequate to hold up to the weather.  So I plan to replace that with a larger brass capstone.  The lettering on the sign, which was nicely laser etched, is fading, and so I've begun routing the letters by hand with a battery-powered Dremel tool.  Not as sharp and neat, but the work really needs to be done on site.  Finally, the "mortar" needs to be touched up due to erosion.  I might try some options to reduce that in the future.
